Welcome back to the Foxhole, it's been a while.🦊🤘🌅 Metal Galaxy is a wonderful album and full of surprises, you're gonna find many more like this with more mature sound, it came out in 2019 so isn't so new but is one of the songs with more mature sound. The album version got the collaboration of Polyphia guitarists, Tim Henson and Scott LePage, and it's quite clear in the solo section. Polyphia got a viral clip when they were performing live and having an issue with the drummer IEM not working and a roadie helped him out in an unorthodox way to save the show, very funny clip. Tim Henson also said when listening to this song that he would love to play this along with BabyMetal on the stage, he didn't know the final cut when he was doing the riffs on this song. The dance on this song is beautiful and graceful, they're showing another mature side and more complicated choreography. According to MoaMetal is the hardest song to dance along with BxMxC and Night Night Burn iirc. Song is inspired by certain "City Pop" band and Utada Hikaru songs, when SuMetal heard this she doubt about this being a metal song but then the guitars solo were added and all make senses suddenly. Finally we got them together on stage and with this awesome live performance, it is their first time performing together. They did it again last week at Graspop Festival in Belgium and they hug each other at the end just like in this version only thing it was cut out, there's also a proshot clip but I'm not so sure about the sound mix. Along with RATATATA this was definitely one of the highlights at FOX_FEST and a lot of Japanese fans were looking for, I guess that cool slow pace city pop element gives some nostalgia and that's why many fans love it. In a recent interview, Tim and Scott talked about a new song in their upcoming album along with BM, let's see what they got but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be something real good like this one. Quite late for the party, but I think I have to comment this here. Like many other pointed out, this one is based on Korean traditional music - and I'm here to add some more context. Well, I didn't major music or anything, but at least I heard short (2 hours a week, for a semaster) liberal art class about Korean traditional music in university which finised just an week or two ago. (I'm Korean btw) I guess this one is based on '무속 음악' (Musok (or Korean traditional shmanism) music), which is, well the most old kind of music in Korea, or 농악 (Nong'ak, literally 'Cultivating music', which is 'farmer's band music'), which gives that 'traditional' vibes for me (yup, Korean) (both is quite close to each other) High metalic sound is almost certainly 꽹가리 (Kkwaenggwari, kind of small gong made of brass), and low metalic sound at the base is almost certainly 징 (Jing, kind of big gong made of brass). High metalic instrument might be 태평소 (Taepyeongso, something like oboe or trumpet made of, well, again, brass, and other woods), and not really sure about that but string sound might be 해금 (haegeum) which looks really simmilar to aru (two stringed bowed string instrument) For reference, here's one of the 농악 (farmer's band music) (which performed in national traditional music (gugak) senter): ua-cam.com/video/Hh1WpOB6wkQ/v-deo.html I guess you can find simmilar vibe there. Also learned that one kind of the traditional music - 시나위 (sinawi), based on those shamanism music - is characterized by heterophony (though I don't really believe this music is that much of heterophonic, but as you mentioned there's a lot of things going on in this music, kinda chaotic), so that came into my mind, too. Overall, this was great video, but now I really want to see reaction/analize video from Korean traditional music expert (as that's the base of the song). And yes, Korean trad. music is different from that of China and Japan.

Studio EIM has done some amazing music for Limbus, personally my favorite is definitely "Canto IV Boss 1 Battle Theme" because it's such a departure from so much of the other music and even themes in the game.

the official studio EIM yt channel uploaded a bunch of limbus boss themes recently including this one, and their track length is considerably longer (although idk if the actual content is different or its just a different loop/looped a few times) a bit odd to use a reuploaders video, but i do get it since the studio EIM yt page doesnt upload the majority of the songs they make, and the OG project moon music uploader stopped doing them too

Considering the Steampunk aesthetic themes of this event and the area it's set in, "Steamstep" feels pretty fitting lol. Spent so long beating this boss the first time from jamming out to this track going on, they really killed it with this one.

Great analysis, as always. I'm in love. I don't even know myself what to call this. Swinging steampunk dubstep? It's just cool to listen to. High energy. Unpredictable. Unexpected to hear relatively new sound. In any case, my recommendation - "Color your night" from Persona 3 Reload.

Not just Steamstep, we gotta take it further. Its the subgenre of Clockstep. You can hear the constant ticking of the clocks gears through the song. Which is another amazing thing to slip in there with everything thats already going on.

this theme is by far my most favorite non-Mili boss theme. My god it's such a jam.

The funny thing is that the songs in the story before the boss are just jazzy and do not have any dubstep elements, and suddenly you get jumpscared by that theme. I jumped out of my chair when I heard it for the first time
